I had a similar experience trying to find cream of coconut recently. I went to FOUR different stores looking for it in the Asian and/or milk products aisle – no dice. I finally found it with the cocktail mixers of all places, because apparently it’s used for pina coladas. Guh!

Ingredient frustrations aside, this sounds wonderful. I like the idea of a date-chocolate-chai crumble hidden inside!
